About Teri Brooks

For the past several years, Teri Brooks has ministered to women in a variety of capacities. In 1996, she began hosting inspirational meetings for single mothers in public libraries. Her goal was to create a support network for women parenting alone. The network, now known as Sisters Helping Sisters grew to include hundreds of women over the years.

She has been featured on several news outlets including WDAF Fox 4 in Kansas City, KSHB TV 41, in the Kansas City Star and on CNN.Com.

She is married to John L. Brooks, the senior pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. They have two boys. Teri is a graduate of the University of Missouri.

Teri is a skilled facilitator and speaker and is thrilled to present workshops to empower women to become all that God wants them to become. Her series blesses participants with humor, wisdom and insight. After her workshop, they leave feeling spiritually refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to walk in their God-designed destiny.

Teri blogs at GodsyGirl.Com and writes parenting articles for the Examiner.Com.
